Frankincense & Myrrh Soap

• The aromatic resins harvested from Frankincense and Myrrh trees growing in East Africa fill this special soap with a warm, smoky, slightly sweet and mysterious aroma.
• These precious plant extracts have been traded across the known world for over 5000 years, and have important religious and medicinal uses.
• When the Magi visited the baby Jesus, their precious gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh were presented to Him, and these have become symbolic of giving gifts during Christmas around the world.
• The artwork on this box is an African interpretation of the nativity, where a hollow Baobab tree – often used for shelter – replaces the stable, and the magi are represented by wild animals of southern Africa coming to pay homage on a starry night.
